Five Star Rankings Disclosure:
In order to consider a broad population of high-quality wealth managers, Five Star Wealth Manager award candidates were identified by one of three sources: firm nomination, peer nomination or pre-qualification based on industry standing. In addition, nominees were evaluated against 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria: Registered as an investment advisory representative (IAR) or a registered investment adviser; actively employed as a credentialed professional in the financial services industry for a minimum of five years; favorable regulatory and complaint history review; fulfilled their firm review based on internal firm standards; accepting new clients; one-year client retention rate; five-year client retention rate; non-institutionalized discretionary and/or non-discretionary client assets administered; number of client households served; and educational and professional designations. The award does not evaluate quality of services provided to clients. For information on the Five Star award and the research/selection methodology, please see: Financial Services (PDF).
Five Star Wealth Managers do not pay a fee to be included in the research or the final list of Indianapolis Monthly Magazine’s Five Star Wealth Managers. The overall evaluation score of the wealth manager reflects an average of all respondents and may not representative of any one client’s experience. The Five Star Award is not indicative of the Wealth Manager’s future performance. Please bear in mind that working with a Five Star Wealth Manager is no guarantee of future investment success or that the Wealth Manager will earn this award in the future. 1,743 Indianapolis wealth managers were considered for the award in 2015; 348 (approximately twenty percent of candidates) were named 2015 Five Star Wealth Managers.
